[ The Music Man. ] Thaddeus Dixon is a multi-platinum selling music producer/songwriter, musician, and music director. He is one of the most sought after music makers of this generation. Originally a drummer from Detroit, Michigan, Thaddeus has toured, performed, and/or recorded with uncountable accomplished artists including Usher, Kelly Rowland, Wu Tang Clan, 21 Savage, Doechii, Khalid, Meghan Trainor, Melanie Martinez, Ne-Yo, Bryson Tiller, and A$AP Ferg, among many others.
Thaddeus has appeared and performed on television shows including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He’s also been featured as the weekly guest drummer on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers five different times. Additionally, he has had the honor and pleasure of performing at renowned institutions including The White House and Carnegie Hall.
Thaddeus started making music at only four years old. He graduated from Detroit High School For Fine & Performing Arts, and was awarded a Jazz Studies academic scholarship by Michigan State University, from which he earned his Bachelor of Music degree. After spending time maturing his skills in music production and education, he served as one of the youngest instructors in the music department at University of California Berkeley.
Thaddeus is currently the Music Director and drummer for several major label artists, and when he's not touring he is producing, writing, and recording. One of his most acclaimed placements is the record "Better When Im Dancin" co-written and performed by recording artist Meghan Trainor, and featured in The Peanuts Movie. The record went on to sell over two million copies, was in the runnings for the 'Best Original Song' at the 2016 Academy Awards (The Oscars), and won a Radio Disney Music Award in the category "Best Song That Makes You Smile." Thaddeus was also the Music Director for Latto's 2022 Grammy Nominated "Big Energy (Live)".
